What is up everyone and welcome back to the Blog. Sorry for the pretty long Hiatus but I am finally back with another review that will hopefully be one of many.
The review this week is for AMW ep. 234. This weeks episode is basically just a look back into the career of Stan Lee, and the first match we see is Stan vs JR Rock. Now given that this is a show dedicated to Stan You know what the outcomes will be but the match did start out with Jr attacking Stan from behind and then getting the upper hand by choking Stan. The match quickly took a turn though for a bit as Stan got control with some turnbuckle punches but that didn't last long. Even though the crowd is mostly kids neither guy is getting much reaction but there are some faint cheers for Stan. I was pretty surprised at home much Jr was controlling the match as Stan seemed to not get coming for long periods of time but then we get a quick finish with Stan hitting a Block Buster from he second rope and 123. The match was decent.
Next up we see a match from Stan Lee vs the Mega Destroyer from AMW's Weekend of Champions. Now I was watching AMW when this feud was happening and Ill say my favorite moment from this was when Stan had Beau Jame's wife be his Maid for the day, it made for some funny content. Also this crowd is a lot louder for Stan than the last match. The match started and we got a bit of playing to the crowd from both guys The match finally got started and Stan took control early which led to more procrastinating from Destroyer. We got a comedy spot with Destroyer running at Stan and Stan moving just in time but the match so far is a bit slow. The match restarts again and this time Mega is in control and starts to get the upper hand before a hiptoss by Stan. We get some back and forth hiptosses but this match is suffering from the constant stops from Stan going for the mask. Mega gets the upper hand due to a cheapshot and he picks the match up, Stan was starting a comeback but got raked in the eyes. We get a pin but Stan kicks out at 2, Stan tries to get pumped up again. Another cheapshot by Mega and Stan is back down and a member of the Crowd actually goes back and forth with Mega. Stan lands a reversal but his offense is once again short lived. Stan lands a quick roll up and wins the match. It was a ok match with way to many stops.
